Chamrousse is famous for hosting the Tenth Winter Olympic Games in 1968, it is situated south of the Belle Donne massif near Oisans, Vecors and Chartreuse, it is a beautiful resort.
The two villages, known as Le Recoin(1650m) and Roche Béranger(1750m), are also referred to as Chamrousse1650 and Chamrousse1750. There is a cable car leaving Chamrousse1650 for the famous scenic point Croix de Chamrousse.
