This authentic and picturesque Savoyard village is perfectly located in the heart of the Valley Giffre. The village is 5 kilometers from Samoens and 3 kilometers from the centre of Morillon where you can access the Grand Massif ski slopes via the Morillon cable car.

Winter
In winter, Verchaix is on the doorstep of 260 km of the grand massif ski area. In addition there is easy access to 92 km of cross-country ski routes (valley du Haut Giffre and Col de Joux Plane), 14 marked snowshoe routes (62 km) and 28 km of pedestrian footpaths.... as well as toboggan slopes, dog sleigh rides, snowmobile trips and frozen waterfalls.

Summer
A wide range of activities is available in the summer: short walks and trekking (on the 900 km of marked out pathways over the whole "grand-massif"), white water sports, paragliding, fishing, horse-riding, tennis, minigolf and many other organized activities.
