The village of Les Gets has an appealing mixture of traditional luxury chalets in distinctive Savoyard style and tasteful modern buildings which blend to create a character not always found in French resorts. With Geneva only 55 km away, Les Gets is ideally situated for short transfers.

Winter
In the Winter season lifts from the village take you effortlessly and quickly into the ski area, and the pistes conveniently run back to the resort centre. Les Gets offers skiers of all abilities an almost inexhaustible choice of runs, venues and views, the Portes du Soleil is amongst the very best skiing in Europe. Not an idle boast, most of the wonderful tree lined ski runs in the area are above 1600 metres and north facing, ensuring they hold the snow well and deliver good skiing throughout the season. Its location on the western edge of the Alps, also guarantees the region some of the most envied snowfall records in Europe. Snowboarders & skiers alike can also test their skills in the dedicated Snow park.

Every Monday evening there is a welcome party on the slopes with a torch lit descent, a firework display and complimentary vin chaud.

Summer
Les Gets is becoming increasingly as popular as a Summer resort especially as it is in such a beautiful mountain setting. Experience swimming in a mountain lake, Paragliding, Go Karting or visit the Adventure Park to test your skills. White water rafting and canoeing is also within easy reach of Les Gets and can be organized locally. With easy access to the mountain trails by chair lift & cable car in the summer season, this area is a paradise for walkers and mountain bikers (VTT- Velo Tout Terrain, or all-terrain bike) The Les Gets Golf course, perched on the ridge of the Chavannes, under the vista of Mont Blanc features 18 holes with magnificent views accross the surrounding valleys and mountains.

There is a colourful main-street which is kept traffic free after 5pm. With lots of attractive shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, an open air ice rink and a square which hosts free entertainment, activities and a weekly market every Thursday throughout the year.
